Territory, public activity and civil-society cooperation linked to the NEB framework
The Municipality of Ormož maintains close cooperation with numerous civil society
organisations, local associations, educational institutions and community initiatives that play
an important role in the social, cultural and sustainable development of the municipality.
Cooperation with local stakeholders is based on participation, inclusion and the strengthening
of community life, especially in the areas of culture, youth activities, sports, tourism, social inclusion and environmental awareness.

The municipality regularly cooperates with organisations such as RRC Ormož, Ljudska univerzaOrmož , as well as with numerous local cultural, tourism and sports associations. Important partners also include volunteer fire brigades, folklore and music associations, youth clubs, women’s associations, pensioners’ associations, environmental groups and local tourism societies that actively contribute to preserving local traditions and strengthening intergenerational cooperation.

Among the active local associations are:
 local tourism associations promoting the Jeruzalem and Prlekija area,
 cultural associations organising festivals, exhibitions and traditional events,
 sports clubs and recreational associations,
 youth and volunteer organisations,
 winegrowers’ associations,
 humanitarian and social support organisations,
 and local community groups involved in environmental and participatory projects.
Through this cooperation, the Municipality of Ormož supports participatory planning,
volunteering, sustainable mobility initiatives, cultural heritage preservation and the creation of
attractive and inclusive public spaces. Local associations and NGOs are important partners in
implementing projects connected to community wellbeing, climate resilience and the green
transition, which are also key priorities of the NEBVOICES project and the New European
Bauhaus initiative.
